AUTODESK INTRODUCES FREE 'VEHICLE FOR GAMES' CURRICULUM

SAN RAFAEL, CA – Autodesk (www.autodesk.com) has introduced "Vehicle for Games" a 16-week curriculum for post-secondary students that provides hands-on training for the entire game development pipeline. The program spans the creating of concept art, all the way up to creating an engine-ready asset.
(3/11/2010)
The Web-based curriculum is designed to be used with Autodesk Maya and Mudbox. A six-month student trial version of Maya and a 30-day student trial version of Mudbox can be downloaded for use with the curriculum.

Autodesk worked with NCSoft and Double Helix to create the curriculum to mirror the requirements of real-world game development. The curriculum is intended for use by intermediate to advanced students and is available on the Autodesk Education Community, in the Level 4 content on the Industry Careers Framework micro site. The Autodesk Education Community is accessible only to faculty and students with a valid email address from a registered educational institution.
