IRIDAS BRINGS DI, 3D & ON-SET TOOLS TO IBC

AMSTERDAM - Iridas (www.iridas.com) is showing its latest SpeedGrade, FrameCycler and MetaRender products at IBC 2009. The company is hosting grading presentations every hour with colorist/RAW pipeline expert Dado Valentic presenting SpeedGrade DI in the main grading theater. The theater is also hosting presentations by customers showcasing their latest work.
(9/10/2009)
Iridas's RAW processing demo area is being used to showcase extended support for digital cinema cameras. Using RealTime RAW 3.0 technology, the company's products support all cameras used in digital movie production, including the Arri D-21, Phantom, Red, Silicon Imaging and Weisscam.

The on-set demo area is focusing on SpeedGrade OnSet 2009, with additional camera format support and color pipeline options. Visitors can see the realtime SDI grading option with Cine-tal Cinemage monitors, and new color export to hardware devices from Blackmagic and TCube.

Iridas is also showing DualStream 3D stereo tools. For dailies grading, SpeedGrade now includes direct access to native stereo encoded RAW formats from Vision Research (Phantom) and Silicon Imaging (SI-2K). Tools are available for dealing with spatial and temporal offsets, as well as for defining zero parallax, enabling quick adjustment of technical stereoscopy for dailies. The refined creative DualStream toolset expands the 3D stereo finishing capabilities in SpeedGrade DI and SpeedGrade XR.
