| FOTOKEM ADDS ARRI'S RELATIVITY SOFTWARE |  |   | | | BURBANK - FotoKem has added Arri’s Relativity software suite to its existing digital intermediate systems, including the Arrilaser and Arriscan. The Relativity suite provides tools for fast and interactive control and correction of image texture caused by film grain and electronic noise, as well as standards conversion and content re-timing. | | (12/1/2009) | | | The software is powered by Pixel Strings, an engine that harnesses the potential of GPU-based parallel processing for motion estimation and spatial temporal image filtering. FotoKem is using three of the five applications available in the bundle: Texture Control, Clean and Film Simulation. SpaceTime Converter and Retimer are two additional applications that are available as part of the suite.
FotoKem partnered with Arri earlier in the year, hosting the Relativity product launch for members of the ASC at its studio.
