POSTWORKS SUPPORTS TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL

NEW YORK - PostWorks (www.postworks.com) is serving as an official Industry Sponsor of the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival (www.tribecafilmfestival.org), which runs through May 4th. The studio also supported a number of features and short films that have been selected to screen during the seventh annual event.
(4/28/2008)
In regard to narrative features, PostWorks' lab provided processing and dailies services for director Simon Brand for Paraiso Travel, and for Lake City (pictured) from directors Petty Moore and Hunter Hill. For Lake City, the studio also provided Avid systems for offline editorial, and completed a 4:4:4 SR DI.

Director Mehreen Jabbar's Ramchand Pakistani feature was conformed in PostWorks' Final Cut Pro finishing suite by staff editor Savvas Paritsis, who also created the film's titles and subtitles. DI colorist Scot Olive handled the film's color correction, and PostWorks' supervising sound editor/re-recording mixer Patrick Donahue created the final mix.

Three documentary features also received services as PostWorks. The Zen of Bobby V from directors Andrew Jenks, Jonah Quickmire Pettigrew and Andrew Muscato was conformed in the FCP finishing suite by Paritsis. For its master, PostWorks DI colorist John Crowley used Pogle for color grading. Sound mixer Lou Teti performed the final mix.

Guest of Cindy Sherman, from directors Tom Donahue and Paul Hasagawa-Overacker, was color corrected by colorist Ira Schweitzer at the studio. And Gotta Dance, a documentary from director Dori Berinstein, was mixed at the facility by sound mixer Peter Waggoner.

The filmmakers behind three short films in festival competition also called on PostWorks for services. The narrative shorts All Saints Day from director Will Frears and Cupcake from director Sean McPhillips, as well as the narrative documentary Life For a Child from director Edward Lachman, all relied on PostWorks and/or Orbit Digital for various editorial support services.
