HYPERBOLIC AUDIO OPENS IN NYC

NEW YORK - Julian Rebolledo and Sean Elias-Reyes have launched Hyperbolic Audio (www.hyperbolicaudio.com), a new sound house dedicated to providing "creative audio solutions for the commercial and broadcast market." The studio is offering voice casting, directing, recording, sound design, mixing, ADR and finishing services via its three Digidesign Pro Tools|HD-based suites.

"While it may not seem like great timing, launching a new business in today's economy has given us an advantage," notes Rebolledo. "While existing companies must adjust to a dramatic reality check, opening a company during these unpredictable financial times made it clear, upfront, that Hyperbolic Audio had to offer a leaner, meaner approach, and be structured to provide quality, cost-effective services that respond to clients' current needs."

Both principals bring a diverse set of skills to the table. Rebolledo studied acting and went on to formally train as an operatic tenor at New York's Manhattan School of Music. He later went on to work with clients that include MTV, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, VH1, The Smithsonian, Spike TV, Go Diego Go!, The Wonder Pets!, McDonald's and Simon & Schuster.

Elias-Reyes has a degree in animation and graphic design and later studied acting at AMDA and London's Mountview Conservatory. In 2000, he began his career as a sound designer and graphic artist, working with companies such as IBM, Motorola and Fujitsu.

In addition to the three Pro Tools rigs, the studios also feature GML mic pre-amps, along with Neumann U87, Sennheiser 416 and Sanken CU44x microphones. Spacious booths can accommodate several singers or musicians. And an extensive sound design and music library is available too.

Head of production, Jeannine Guenther, also serves as a mixer and producer. Her credits include work for Chanel, Tiffany, Rich & Skinny Jeans, Bombay Sapphire, DHL, Estée Lauder, Burlington Coat Factory and Neutrogena, among others.
