LAVA & CO3 PARTNER ON 'VIRTUAL TELECINE' OPERATION

MIAMI - Boutique post house Lava Studio (www.lava-studio.com), which specializes in animation, visual effects and broadcast design, is collaborating with telecine experts at Company 3 to offer live remote telecine via broadband. Producers and agency clients can now work with any of Company 3's colorists in New York or Los Angeles without leaving Miami.
(2/5/2009)
Lava's dedicated telecine suite is equipped with a calibrated monitor that ensures that the image seen in the Miami studio is the same color and quality as that at Company 3. Communication with the colorist is clear and simple, via speakerphone or Skype.

"Virtual Telecine" can be used for traditional transfers or digital intermediate services, and accommodates film, tape or file-based formats. Recent sessions have included commercials for McDonald's and Volkswagen.
