HONG KONG, CHINA - Commercial
post house Digit Digit has upgraded its pipeline with six Autodesk Flame 2007 visual
effects systems running on the Linux operating system. The facility is also
home to Autodesk's Inferno visual effects system and Maya 3D animation
application, which it uses on work for clients such as Nike, Coca-Cola, Pepsi,
McDonald's, Nokia, Motorola and GM. | | (11/3/2006)
The latest version of the VFX system - Flame 2007 - takes
advantage of 64-bit multi-core computing, storage and networking technologies
to provide large productivity gains for users performing compositing, tracking,
color correction and visual effects. "The ability to quickly deliver projects in both standard- and
high-definition is essential," says Digit Digit executive director Nicky Ng. "These systems add superb reliability and speed to our
workflow, especially for projects at 2K resolution."
