The A-List of Hollywood post was in attendance at the Grand Opening of Oasis Imagery on Sunset Boulevard in the heart of Hollywood. Oasis Imagery is led by Chief Visionary Officer Scot Barbour and Chief Technology Officer Adam Green, who led the multi-million dollar build out of the 27,000 sq. ft. facility.
Green and Barbour presented the new facility to the standing room only crowd in their 50 seat DI Theater. Presentations of the new facility's resources included, among others, Avid, Final Cut Pro, Autodesk Smoke and Autodesk Lustre. They stressed their 3D capabilities which include their DI Theater which is capable of presenting 3D imagery in the RealD, Dolby 3D, or XpanD formats. They also proudly announced their recent THX certification.
Talent abounds a-plenty as well. During the presentation we were treated to the demo reel of their lead colorist, Chris Jacobson, whose credits include American Gangster, The Foot Fist Way, and Mulholland Dr. Their lead Smoke Artist, Shursen Parsad, is an expert operator having many significant credits as a Smoke operator since version 1.
