Squeak E. Cares initiative hopes to aid musicians & charities

LOS ANGELES — Global creative audio network Squeak E. Clean Studios has launched “Squeak E. Cares”, new initiative that’s designed to benefit charities and other artists. Squeak E. Cares (www.squeakeclean.com/squeak-e-cares) was born out of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent economic downturn, which has greatly impacted musical artists through lost gigs, tours, etc.

What the initiative does is offer gratis music licencing from the company’s extensive catalogue to charities involved with the COVID-19 response. This will help support their advertising and community service messaging efforts, while ensuring funds go to fully support crisis aid. It also helps to offset the loss of income for independent artists by creating a regularly updated Spotify playlist of their “friends and family” musicians and bands, funneling streaming royalties to those featured and including links to their merchandise and albums on the Squeak E. Cares landing page.
