July 20, 2004

PENNSAUKEN, NJ - Disc Makers, a manufacturer of CD and DVD duplication systems, recently introduced a new line of Mac OS X-compatible duplication and printing systems. The Mac Elite systems are large-capacity, high-throughput unattended disc duplication and printing systems configured with a choice of one or two Plextor drives. The systems include a 4800 dpi Autograph inkjet disc printer and a 125 disc capacity loader.

Designed to connect to Mac G4 and G5 front ends through FireWire and USB connections, the systems allow Mac users to design label art, copy CDs and DVDs, and archive images of frequently-copied titles to their hard drive.

Pricing starts at $2,990 for a 52x CD-R model and $3,690 for an 8x DVD-R/48x CD-R duplicator/printer. A two-year warranty covers the robotics and a one-year warranty covers the drives and other components. Disc Makers (wwwdiscmakers.com) also offers PC-based Elite systems for CD/DVD duplication and printing.
