HIP-HOP ARTISTS SAMPLE DEWOLFE LIBRARY
December 27, 2004
NEW YORK - Major label hip-hop artists continue to turn to New York City based DeWolfe Music Library (www.dewolfemusic.com) for samples on their releases. Artists such as Jay-Z, Fat Joe, Nas, Ja Rule, and more have found that DeWolfe samples provide great instrumental beds for their hit tracks. Most recently, Ja Rule grabbed some DeWolfe vinyl in a track titled "Don't You Know" on his new record, "R.U.L.E." (release date: 11/9/04.) The sampled track is called "Hogan's Thing" by Simon Haseley and was originally released on "Heavy Truckin'" DWLP-3275 and subsequently re-released on the compilation, "Bite Hard (DeWolfe Studio Sampler 1792-1980)".
