RAYCOM BUYS DIGITALIZE
November 15, 2004
BURBANK, CA - Owner/operator of 42 TV stations nationwide, Raycom Media (www.raycommedia.com) has purchased post house Digitalize (www.digitalizepost.com).

Digitalize opened in 2003 as a boutique editing company featuring an Avid DS, three Avid Symphonies, a Digidesign Pro Tools audio suite with a voiceover booth and audio and video duplication/conversion capabilities.

Digitalize's GM, Joan Adler, has been in the post production industry over 25 years and has an experienced staff of video editors, and audio mixers, with Alfonso Sanchez heading up the creative and technical team.

As a result of their recent purchase by Raycom Media, Digitalize will be upgrading their high definition television post suite to a full Avid Nitris, as well as other upgrades to their equipment and facilities. Digitalize will also be the home of Raycom Media's programming division, including Mary Carole McDonnell, executive VP of programming. This division oversees the program acquisitions for all Raycom Media stations, and is also involved in other projects related to the production and programming area.

Raycom Media, headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, owns and operates 42 television stations including two ABC, seven CBS, nine FOX, 13 NBC, five UPN, one WB and two Univision stations in Puerto Rico. From a geographic standpoint, Raycom is one of the nation's largest broadcast companies with stations stretching from San Juan to Honolulu, and employs over 2,500 individuals in full and part-time positions.
