SANBOLIC AT IBC WITH SCALABLE HD, SD AND DV SAN SOLUTION

WATERTOWN, MA - At the IBC show in Amsterdam, Sanbolic (www.sanbolic.com) will show its range of storage area network (SAN) software for shared storage solutions.

Supported by Dutch systems integrator i3 Solutions, Sanbolic will be showcase the latest versions of its Melio FS clustered file system and LaScala clustered volume manager. Sanbolic and i3 Solutions will also unveil a new HD SAN solution targeted at broadcasters and post production facilities that are looking for a scalable, high-performance yet affordable shared storage solution capable of handling full resolution HD as well as SD and DV formats.

Sanbolic's complete SAN solutions are compatible with products such as Bluefish HD, Adobe Premiere Pro, Leitch VelocityQ, Inscriber E-clips, Discreet Lustre, Pinnacle Liquid series and Avid Xpress, Media Composer and Adrenaline.

Melio FS V.1.5 adds several key features that further enhance its utility in building scalable and flexible Windows applications using SAN storage. The new version now supports Windows iSCSI initiator, thereby increasing the options of using Melio FS in rendering farm environments; Windows 2003, Windows XP Service Pack 2, as well as Windows server authentication, and file and directory permissions.
