SIGGRAPH: APPLE SHIPS MOTION, OFFERS PRODUCTION SUITE

CUPERTINO, CA - Apple has a prominent presence at this year's SIGGRAPH show in Los Angeles, where it has announced the availability of it Motion graphics application. The tool, which was introduced at NAB in April, costs $299 and is being sold right at the manufacturer's booth.

Motion is a high-performance, realtime motion graphics design package that provides realtime previews. The tool also integrates with both Apple's Final Cut Pro HD and DVD Studio Pro.

Additional news from the show includes the announcement of Production Suite, a $1,299 bundle consisting of Apple's Final Cut Pro HD nonlinear editing application, Motion and DVD Studio Pro 3, its DVD authoring application. Apple is also showing its 30-inch Cinema displays at the show.
