STOMPBOX MUSIC AND SOUND DESIGN EXPANDS

SANTA MONICA - Stompbox Music and Sound Design, an original music production and post production house, has expanded its operations, by promoting Tommy O'Brien to creative director/executive producer and by hiring Paul Hurtubise as sound mixer.

O'Brien is a founding member of Stompbox in l998, and had been a freelance composer with the company until now. A musician who began his career in New York, O'Brien once toured with Dee Dee Ramone and did a world tour with a pop act called Sweet Sentation. Moving to LA in l995, he became a freelance composer, working on TV spots for Endless Noise and with many other major jingle houses based in LA. He is adept in all styles, from rock, pop, techno, world and orchestral. He has a wealth of music experience from both the commercial music world and from the TV spot world.

Hurtubise is a mixer, sound designer and composer who has been working in the advertising industry for the last 10 years. He holds a Bachelors Degree in music composition and is currently near completion of his Masters. Paul was awarded a CLIO in 1999 as an engineer. Some of his clients over the last few years have been Radio Shack, Infiniti, Earthlink, Gateway, Round Table Pizza, Addidas, Gold's Gym, Albertson's, Miller Lite, Sony Playstation2, Penzoil, and Wherehouse Music.

As a composer Paul has written music in a multitude of styles for many TV shows including Biography, Elimidate, Mail Call, Forensic Files, Animal Planet, Mondo Madness, Date Patrol, Reasonable Doubt and Impossible Missions. He has also penned music to commercials for Chevy, Scooby-Doo, Wherehouse Music and Miller Lite.
