THE SUPERIOR PRODUCTION EXCHANGE LAUNCHES IN RICHMOND

November 19, 2004
THE SUPERIOR PRODUCTION EXCHANGE LAUNCHES IN RICHMOND RICHMOND, VA - The Superior Production Exchange, a collective of 22 independent advertising, production and post companies, has opened its doors in Richmond.

Based in a 36,000 square-foot multi-use warehouse, The Superior Building offers one location where art and business merge, history salutes technology, and Richmond's creative market demonstrates savvy industry vision.

The Superior Production Exchange provides an industry model whereby individual companies and their clients benefit from a myriad of experts under one roof. Independent boutiques involved can marshal talents to provide comprehensive, high-end services for advertising, production and postproduction applications. These include creative editorial, sound design and music, media purchasing, print design, copywriting, animation, Web applications, entertainment law, advertising software development, lighting production package rentals, broadcast and non-broadcast production. The building also offers the rental (with or without operators) of a 24p HD Sony camera package.

The joint concept by DP Bunt Young and RainMaker (www.rainmakerstudios.com) executive producer Kristin O'Connor, the Superior Production Exchange was formed out of a desire to assemble companies that have the option to collaborate and enjoy shared innovation, attitudes, technical perks and facilities while raising the standard in creative production for the entire region. O'Connor heads RainMaker, a sound design and audio post company that was the first to inhabit the building, and Greybox, a year-old creative editorial boutique. Both businesses are anchor entities in the Superior Production Exchange. Recent projects include national broadcast campaigns for clients for such clients as Nascar, Anthem, Quizno's, Thomasville, Olympus, Virginia Tourism, VA Lottery, Super 8 Motels, Geico Insurance, Coalition for Organ Donation, Hooters and Grolsh Beer.
