VFX HOUSE MASSIVE INDUSTRIES LAUNCHES IN MANHATTAN
October 19, 2004
NEW YORK - Massive Industries (www.massive.tv), a division of creative design collective Psyop, has formed in New York City, offering high-end design and visual effects services. The studio was founded by partners Chris Staves (visual effects artist, formerly of Method Studios) and Justin Lane (executive producer), and will work with directors, agencies, and in collaboration with Psyop.

The two partners originally paired at the Santa Monica-based visual effects company Method Studios, where Staves was one of the founding members. Massive Industries is located in Manhattan's lower East Side, adjacent to the Psyop studios. The new company's space houses two Discreet Flame suites, production staff and CG workstations.

The facility is already busy, working on projects for Marshall's via Hill Holiday, and Aquafina out of BBDO, as well as on American Stock Exchange's "Spider" through DDB New York.
