AES: DIGIDESIGN TO SHOW PRO TOOLS 7

It also adds greater mixing power and flexibility, along with enhanced efficiency, and improved ease of use.

Version 7 now supports the importing of REX and ACID audio files, and includes the introduction of Instrument Tracks, along with significant enhancements to looping and track grouping capabilities.

There is also enhanced support for multi-processor computers which allows users to take advantage of RTAS plug-ins and virtual instruments. Pro Tools HD 7, Pro Tools LE 7, and Pro Tools M-Powered 7 software share nearly all of the same new features.

Digidesign plans to show its new releases on Dell Precision 670 workstations, powered by Intel Xeon processors and on Dell Precision 380 workstations, powered by Dual-Core Intel Pentium processors.

The pro audio company is also hosting three seminars at AES out of the Digidesign Training and Seminar Room. "Introducing Pro Tools 7 Software" provides a hands-on training session that walks through the new creative tools. "The Pro Tools 101 Overview" offers an opportunity for new users to explore the essential features of Pro Tools systems. And for a deeper exploration of the Pro Tools environment, "The Pro Tools 48-Bit Dithered Mixer" is a technical presentation that takes a close look at the signal flow through Pro Tools|HD systems, from input to output.
