AVID HOUSE CITY LIGHTS SEEING DEMAND FOR AUDIO SUITES

NEW YORK - City Lights Media Group (www.citylightsmedia.com), home to 30 Avid-based editorial suites, recently expanded its list of services with the addition of two new audio post rooms. Located at the studio's 39th Street operation in Manhattan, the two suites are centered around Digidesign Pro Tools|HD 3 DAWs and are paired with ProControl worksurfaces.

Danny Fisher, president of City Lights, says it was time the facility he operates with his brothers Jack and Joe began offered audio post, and plans are already being made to open up a third such suite in the immediate future. Depending on demand, says Fisher, that number could even grow to a half dozen over time.

Sound engineer/designer Chris Liang heads up audio post at the studio and has already provided post on a number of projects since the rooms came online. The studio provided video and sound editing on MTV's "Made" and "High School Stories," as well as on "Battlestar Galactica" and "Ghost Hunter" for Sci-Fi Channel. On the feature side, City Lights provided HD Nitris conform and color correction, as well as sound mixing on the film "Kiss Me Again."
