COLORIST JOE GAWLER HEADING TO MANHATTAN TRANSFER MIAMI

MIAMI - Colorist Joe Gawler is leaving the New York market after six years to return to Miami and Manhattan Transfer Miami (www.mtmiami.com). Gawler was working at BVI (now Manhattan Transfer Miami) before he moved to New York to work at Tape House.

He spent four years at Tape House, working on projects for Coke, Revlon, Reebok, and Pillsbury, as well as on a Dentyne Ice spot that ran during the Super Bowl. At Tape House, helped develop the Digital Intermediate market for the east coast, working on films with Spike Lee, John Sayles, as well as on a film produced by Steven Soderberg. He also color corrected "Personal Velocity," which received honors at Sundance.

For the past two years, Gawler has worked at Technicolor, helping to build its Greenwich Village facility. Most recently he color corrected a piece for the Sony "Dreams" high definition showcase titled "Vuelo."

He'll re-join the company on June 21st.
