The DCI specification was announced in July and provides overall system requirements and specifications to help theatrical projector and equipment manufacturers create uniform and compatible digital cinema equipment throughout the United States.

The event will take place at 7:00pm on Monday, November 7th at the Entertainment Technology Center’s Digital Cinema Laboratory, one of only a handful of theatres equipped with a Texas Instrument DLP 2K projector.

After the screening, a panel discussion will take place, featuring representatives from Christie Digital Systems, FotoKem Film and Video, Universal Pictures and Doremi Labs, Inc.

The Digital Cinema Lab at the Hollywood Pacific Theatre is located at 6433 Hollywood Blvd., between Cahuenga and Wilcox.
