The studio was recognized for "Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Series" at the 57th Annual Emmy Awards, which took place on Sunday, September 11th at the Shrine Auditorium in LA.

"Lost" follows a group of 48 people after a plane crash leaves them stranded on an island in the Pacific. The :50 crash sequence is chilling in its photo-real depiction and sets the premise for the entire series. It is replayed in flashbacks that occur in virtually every episode of the show.

Digital Dimension provided 200 visual effects shots overall, the bulk of which was done in just 18 days of production. The studio took an original plate that involved little more than five rows of jostled passengers shot against greenscreen, and using Autodesk 3DS Max for modeling and Eyeon's Digital Fusion for compositing, built debris, chairs and the tail extension of the plane through.
