DALLAS - Effects artist Scott Balkcom has joined Frames, the Dallas-based creative editorial boutique. Previously digital visual effects supervisor with Reel FX, Dallas, Balkcom's portfolio includes composite and design work on feature films, broadcast productions and commercials.
Balkcom began his career as a TV cameraman in Lexington, KY, and later became interested in editing. His post production positions include time at Creative Post & Transfer in Charlotte and Crawford Communications in Atlanta.
In addition to original graphics for ESPN2, Balkcom has worked locally on graphics for Fox News and Channel 8. His national credits include work on A&E's "Faith Of Our Fathers," NBC's "Jessica Lynch Story" and the NBC series, "LAX." In addition to his composite work on Disney productions such as "Halloween Town IV," "Pixel Perfect," and "Kid Magician," he also worked on the feature "Spy Kids 2" and the animated feature "GI Joe." Commercial work includes spots for Coca Cola, The Home Depot, McDonald's, Gatorade, Hasbro, Cars.com and Saab.
