Exavio's Dr. Henry Gu and Glen Sakata.
SAN JOSE, CA - Exavio, Inc., designer of high-performance network platforms that provide high quality digital media access and distribution throughout the broadcast and post production industries, has expanded its management team with the appointments of industry veterans Dr. Henry Gu and Glen Sakata.
Dr. Gu joins the company as VP of product marketing and business development. Gu was most recently VP of engineering/CTO at da Vinci Systems, the maker of color image enhancement and automatic film and video restoration systems. In his new role, he will help develop and oversee the company's product marketing strategy and execution, application development and have a direct hand in its business development activities.
Glen Sakata assumes the position of VP of Worldwide Sales having previously served as VP of sales at Harmonic, a supplier of integrated fiber optic transmission and element management systems for the interactive broadband networks. Sakata will be responsible for worldwide sales, sales support and business development, including developing a sales infrastructure capable of supporting direct, OEM and future channel sales.
Together, Gu and Sakata will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to establish Exavio's ExaMax 9000 network platform as the de-facto standard for networks.
