MOTU DIGITAL PERFORMER V.4.6 UPGRADE AVAILABLE

CAMBRIDGE, MA - MOTU (www.motu.com) has posted a free Version 4.6 upgrade to its Digital Performer audio workstation software on the company's Web site. The tool, which offers MIDI sequencing capabilities, can now be used in the Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) or 10.4 (Tiger) operating environments.

New features for V.4.6 include: pitch automation that makes quick work of correcting audio pitch; V-Rack, which lets users load plug-ins and virtual instruments once and then access them from all sequences in their project, conserving CPU power; and a Pattern Gate plug-in that adds driving, pulsating grooves to music.

Additionally, Digital Performer now supports the AAF file interchange standard, providing complete, up-to-date multitrack file interchange with Pro Tools and other audio and video authoring applications.

The new Bounce to QuickTime Movie feature lets users export Digital Performer project audio tracks directly to a QuickTime movie in one step. Digital Performer now supports multiple outputs from Audio Unit virtual instruments. The tool is also packed with enhancements for writing music for picture.
