MUSIC & SOUND STUDIO BWN EXPANDS TO WEST COAST
October 20, 2005
The studio, which has created music for Citibank, Payless, Arctic Cat, Jack Links Jerky, Buddy Lee Jeans, Best Buy and BMW, recently opened a new multi-suite facility in Santa Monica (www.bwnoise.com) that includes a large live recording room.

"This expansion is truly about serving the needs of clients and being more accessible in a variety of markets for national work," says co-founder/composer Ken Brahmstedt. "People want to have access to talent anywhere and at anytime. We figured multiple time zones was a good way to start."

"The time was right to extend our reach into LA and answer the demand for more creative collaboration from local agencies and clients," adds partner/sound designer/mixer Carl White. "Besides, it'll nice to experience a 70-degree winter!"

In addition to the company's existing talent base, which includes Chris Heidman and Jeff Lorentzen in Minneapolis, BWN/West features additional talent secured through a series of strategic alliances, such as the one with composer Jerry Brunskill, a former co-founder of Wow + Flutter. Brunskill's credits include award-winning commercials, as well as numerous television episodics and feature films.

Composer/engineer Ryan Rees is also available through the studio, bringing with him a comprehensive knowledge of TV show production.

Like its Minneapolis counterpart, the Santa Monica studio will offer services that range from initial concept pitching to music licensing to music licensing with the intent to re-arrange or re-record. Long distance collaboration is also possible through the studio, and an online music library is available for client convenience.
