SSL PROMOTES PHIL WAGNER TO PRESIDENT

LOS ANGELES ? Following the recent acquisition of Solid State Logic by a joint venture lead by Peter Gabriel and David Engelke, the high-end console maker has promoted Phil Wagner to president of SSL, Inc. Wagner is a long-time SSL employee, having joined the company in 1992 as VP of western operations. He has served as senior VP for the past seven years.

As president of SSL, Inc., Wagner will be responsible for overall sales and customer relations for the US, Canada and Mexico. During his tenure, he has sold over 150 consoles into the post, music, broadcast, and film markets.

"SSL users are committed to our brand and we strive to exceed their expectations everyday. In my new role as president, I plan to continue this great tradition. Wagner joins several long-time audio business veterans in the executive team. Piers Plaskitt, previously president of SSL and president/sales & marketing at Euphonix, serves as group commercial director. Antony David, SSL's sales director in the 80's and early 90's, and later head of pro audio at Sony Broadcast & Professional Europe, serves as managing director. Chris Smith serves as the company?s group finance director.
