The competition serves as a forum for agencies to demonstrate creative talent via a nontraditional medium, and is sponsored by Fluid, the American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA) and the Newspaper Association of America (NAA), in association with Advertising Week 2006. Bands are comprised of agency staffers who perform short, high-energy sets.
This year’s event will be held on September 27th at The Supper Club, in the heart of New York City’s Theater District. Previous winners of the competition include Pants!, from Durham, NC’s McKinney (2004 & 2005), and Ironic Trucker Hat from Miami’s Crispin Porter + Bogusky (2003).
The Fluid Battle of the Ad-Bands IV is limited to 10 bands and contenders must submit an entry form, available at www.fluidny/adband, before the Friday, July 14th.
