FUSION TRAINING OFFERED AT THE ART INSTITUTE OF VANCOUVER
April 19, 2006

Jeremy McCarron, academic director of animation and visual effects at the school says Fusion is very popular in Vancouver, thanks to its powerful capabilities and reasonable price tag.

“The Art Institute of Vancouver is the first school in the city to offer training on this platform, providing graduates with the competitive edge they need to secure employment in the industry," he notes.

Fusion artists are in demand to work on feature films and the videogames in the area. Rainmaker, for example, recently used Fusion extensively on the upcoming feature film, The DaVinci Code. Fusion artists also also recently worked on upcoming films Poseidon and Superman Returns.

“We are thrilled about this partnership with The Art Institute of Vancouver,” says Eyeon’s Daryl Shail. “As the Fusion community continues its unprecedented growth, Vancouver VFX facilities will now have a local, accredited training facility working to prepare the next generation of digital artists.”

The school purchased 10 copies of Fusion 5.
