June 30, 2006

This year’s event promises to be a gathering of digital media industry visionaries, vendors and users, and will offer a forum for sharing strategies, demonstrating new workflow innovations, and engaging users in discussion on the benefits of AAF and MFX technologies.

A number of influential and innovative players in the market plan on participating in this year’s event, including Adobe Systems, Avid Technology, BBC Research, Walt Disney Imagineering, Fox Technology Group, Quantel, Snell & Wilcox and Sony. Executives will present real-world implementations of AAF as well as participate in panel discussions. Additionally, the event will feature the premiere of a new compliance program and demonstrations of the new AAF Edit Protocol.

Brad Gilmer, executive director of the AAF Association says this year’s show will present an opportunity “to see many different applications of AAF/MXF technology, from Digital Cinema and mastering to television production and content preservation.”
