SPECTSOFT SUPPORTING AJA'S PCI-E BOARDS
January 12, 2006

The RaveHD Xenon system features integrated RS-422 hardware that allows for both slave and master control, unlimited scalability, dual 10/100/1000 gigabit Ethernet, and includes features like frame oriented, standard file system storage and centralized database asset tracking, RP188 (embedded timecode), Varicam flagging support, and a programmable cadence engine (2:3, 3:2:3, 2:3:3:2, etc). RaveHD is natively frame-based but does offer built-in tools for those working with QuickTime.

Priced at $25,000, the RaveHD Xenon system features 6TB of local storage in a SATA array configuration (upgradeable to 9.6TB).

“PCIe I/O solves a much needed slot problem with motherboard manufacturers and now allows us to put OpenGL boards, I/O boards and controller boards all in the same system and continue to offer the low cost SATA system that has proven to be the future for uncompressed video,” explains Ramona Howard, president of SpectSoft. “This announcement also allows us to continue to offer more features at the same price we are now offering.”
