May 30, 2006

WATCH THE VIDEO

The spot, featuring recording artist Chris Clark’s Frau Wave track, begins in a messy bedroom as a young man wakes up to find his body transforming. Round speakers pop from his mid section. On the street, a young Asian girl’s lower half becomes a DJ’s turn table, while a young man’s arm becomes a modified trumpet. Another features an Others integrated mixer.

Transform Japan is a blend of live-action and CG. 1st Avenue Machine’s Serge Patzak and Arvind Palep shot live action guerrilla style, running the streets of Tokyo to acquire footage. Animation was created using Autodesk/Discreet 3DS Max.
