Ma (pictured left) has more than 10 years of experience managing television series from development through post. She was previously a production consultant at Yowza Digital, where she worked on the Dinosapiens series for CBBC/Discovery Kids. She was also producer at Calibre Digital Pictures, Cuppa Coffee Animation and Gajdecki Visual Effects, and more recently on Brad Peyton's first stop-motion TV series.
In her new position, she will oversee a team of 30 working on season three of Nickelodeon Jr.'s popular animated show, The Backyardigans. She will also work toward developing new long-form and episodic work.
Bjarnason (pictured right) will oversee Guru's commercial and broadcast projects, and brings with her seven years of experience. Her career has included time in production as well as on the agency side.
As an account executive at DDB Toronto, she worked on the Dell account. She also served as executive producer at Toronto's Chuck Gammage Animation, where she supervised the creation of hand-drawn traditional 2D animation and mixed CG TV spots. Additionally, Bjarnason spent time at Roadhouse Commercials, and also served as a project manager for Alias.
