Sylwan previously served as director of technology at visual effects facility
Digital Domain. He successfully renewed the studio's technology
infrastructure and helped it venture into new areas, which included the
development of the facility's first stereoscopic rendition of a CG film.
His career also includes serving as principal technology advisor at the
University of Southern California's Institute for Creative Technologies. And
while living in Italy, Sylwan built Lumiq S.p.A, one of the country's largest
production, post production and 3D character animation studios. He was Italy's
first user of the Autodesk Flint VFX system.
