AVENUE EDIT INSTALLS FILMLIGHT SCANNER & GRADING SYSTEM

The Northlight 2 is a pin-registered film scanner that supports 35mm, 65mm and 16mm formats. The scanner will allow Avenue to work with 2K, 4K or 6K log scans that feed the Baselight grading system. The scanned frames will be transferred over the studio’s high-speed network to create a tapeless environment, and the final sequence will be generated by Baselight to any SD or HD format.

The Baselight Four includes eight Dual Core Opteron grading processors, plus dedicated I/O and GUI control system PCs. It is designed for HD, 2K and proxy-based 4K grading. Its advanced multi-node architecture accelerates all the features of the standard Baselight system by a factor of four.
