EXPANSION TEAM HELPS SET THE MOOD FOR COMEDY CENTRAL

The theme for FNSU was written by Expansion Team founder/creative director Alex Moulton and artist Genji Siraisi.

First, visuals for the package were created by Eyeball|NYC. Sound was then created to highlight the fast-paced edits and swinging camera moves.

Comedy Central VP of on-air design Kendrick Reid requested that the track have the energy of a live music setting and feel like a crowded party. Moulton, a long-time DJ, brought a chic club flavor to the theme's beats and bass line. As a drummer and electronic musician, Siraisi complimented Moulton's grooves with his own additions, editing the theme into its final version.

The track helps to articulate the narrative, with musical horns used to replicate on-screen taxis. Animated effects were also reinforced through the use of turntable scratches.
