Filmlab is located in the hub of the Hindi film industry, in the Goregaon region of Mumbai. The lab was established in 2001 and the new Filmlab Digital, which launched in July 2007, will offer complete digital intermediate and digital film restoration services.
The Imager XE Advanced Plus scans 35mm motion picture film at a rate of 1.9 seconds per frame for 4K and 1.3 seconds per frame for 2K. Scanning of 35mm 3 perf and 16mm/Super 16mm are also options. Imagica's new Wetgate option helps reduce the cost of dust and scratch removal for restoration and remastering projects.
