MICHAEL MONTES DEBUTS NEW TAKE ON MUSIC LICENSING

"Everyone is moving faster," says Montes, "turnover on new work is more rapid than ever and Igor is my response to this changing landscape."

The site - designed by creative agency Hart-Larsson - enables agency clients, editors and music supervisors to quickly preview tracks online and download them directly to their desktops for audition and evaluation purposes. Igor has simplified the licensing process by bundling Synch and Master Rights, eliminating the need for multiple negotiations.

Rory Johnston has come on board as executive producer/A&R, bringing with him experience in the record industry. Johnston was VP of A&R for several years at Universal and Point Music, and before that a personal manager.

Visitors to the Website will find a clean, sleek interface that allows them to browse through a selection of tracks from a growing collection of artists and labels. Initially, Igor is offering six different collections, including the works of composer Philip Glass, via his Orange Mountain Music label; old school soul and funk label Daptone Records; British trash-rock-garage band, B-Monster; guitarist/songwriter Eric Schermerhorn's band Chimp; Michael Montes' own collection of film scores and personal music; and a special selection of Sacred Noise tracks culled from the vaults of the music house.
