His editing talents impressed the folks at USA Network so
much that he was given promo work for the Westminster Dog Show, movie
marathons, Law & Order, and Monk, as well as episodics and launch spots for TV shows.
As an assistant editor, he also collaborated with Backyard director Nick Piper
on commercials for Foxwood Casinos and two comedic GMC Trucks spec spots. Back
in Septmeber, Rankin scored big at the AICE Trailer Park competition, landing
the Grand Prize for Caakthal. He went on
to work on campaigns for Novartis and Office Depot.
