The company supplies high definition recordings and surround
sound elements with enhanced metadata. At NAB back in April, Blastwave FX
released its first product, Blastwave Imaging Elements, what the company bills
as a comprehensive high definition imaging elements library. The collection
includes 2,500 effects comprising over five hours of sounds, with 6.4 GB of
broadcast .wav files on two DVDs.
The library features 300 5.1 Surround Sound elements, along
with a range of compositions, hits, sweeps and whooshes, among others. Each
sound was recorded at 24-bit/96k and is delivered as a 24-bit/48k broadcast
.wav file. In addition to its 2,500 high definition stereo .wav files and 5.1
Surround Sound files, Blastwave also includes 2,500 .mp3 reference files.
Embedded metadata makes for easy search and retrieval in Pro Tools, Avid,
SoundMiner, NetMix, iTunes and other popular sound library search engines.
