SPECTSOFT ADDS TO TEAM, ANNOUNCES NAB PLANS

Balabuck’s career includes time with Discreet Logic, Pixel Power, and most recently, Maximum Throughput.

At the upcoming NAB show in Las Vegas, SpectSoft will introduce RaveHD 2.5, a new version of the company’s turn-key, Linux-based, hybrid uncompressed digital disk drive recorder and VTR replacement. The new version will be capable of dual 4:4:4 capture and playback in a single box. It will also support 2K, all 1080 & 720 interlace & progressive HD formats and SD.

SpectSoft plans on delivering RaveHD 2.5 later this month and says owners of the 2.0 product will be able to upgrade their units.
