ASSEMBLY PUTTING IT TOGETHER IN PHILLY
Assembly was co-founded by executive director David Fish and creative director John Knapich, who offer a combined 40 years of experience in the production and post industries. Their careers include producing, editing, and directing for companies such as Broadcast Arts (now Curious Pictures), Miramax Films, NFL Films, Medical Broadcasting Company (now Digitas Health), Manhattan Transfer, Blue, and numerous others.
The studio is set up for HD work as well as for projects that are acquiring content on disk-based formats, such as P2 and XDCAM. Editorial gear includes Avid and Apple Final Cut Pro set ups. In addition to corporate and broadcast work, the team shares a special interest in documentary filmmaking, which they see as a potential area of growth. Fish is a certified trainer for all of Apple's professional video applications, and Knapich wrote, edited and directed the film The Dentist from New Jersey.
