BULLY BROS. POST OPENS, SPECIALIZING IN FX & FINISHING

Chansamone and Forest met several years back while working on a Bacardi campaign, and have been good friend ever since. Chansamone began his career as a penciler at Marvel Comics. After studying at UCLA, he joined Modern Videofilm in 1996, doing rotoscope work on animated shows such as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and later becoming a lead artist on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. He joined Riot in 1999, working on features such as Armageddon, Species, and Mortal Kombat, as well as building a following of commercial TV clients that include Microsoft, UPS, Geico, Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, and Taco Bell. He spent the last nine years there, working as lead Inferno artist.

Forest was a freelance producer in commercials and music videos for a decade before starting Bully Pictures, the Marina Del Rey, CA-based television spot production house. He brings soup-to-nuts experience from pre-production through finishing to the new entity.

“We started Bully Bros. Post with the goal of creating a ‘family’ atmosphere, not just for ourselves, but for our clients as well,” Chansamone states.  “Artistically and technologically, we want to build a company that is based on working with well-known brands for well-known agencies.”

Additional partners include Sara Barnthouse and Gaelon Swift.  Barnthouse was a producer/rep at Jigsaw Editorial. Swift has been responsible for engineering nearly every technological system for the company and continues to help keep Bully Bros. on the cutting-edge as new shooting and finishing formats hit the marketplace.

The company operates multiple Autodesk Inferno 2009 systems and has access to HDCAM, Digi Beta, Avid and Final Cut Pro systems via the Playground facility. Since opening, the studio has finished campaigns for IW Group (Wal-Mart and Met-Life), DraftFCB (Taco Bell), Bozell/Jacobs (Alegent Health), Ogilvy & Mather (Nature Made), and Chiat/Day (Visa).
