Genesis president Cliff Springs says the studio aims at keeping large-budget film production in the state of South Carolina. The studio encompasses 15,000 square feet of space, including a 70x60-foot main stage. There is also a large chroma key insert stage.

For acquisition, Genesis uses Panasonic SDX 900 DVCPro 50 camcorders, Panasonic HDX 900 DVCPro HD camcorders, and Sony XDCam HD camcorders. HD and SD editing is via Final Cut Pro HD running on Macs equipped with two 3.2GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors. Four Intel Quad Core custom PCs are equipped with Adobe’s Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop for visual effects and compositing. And NewTek’s VT5, running on a dual Intel Xeon Quad Core PC is available for live switching.

Sound capabilities include an ADR/audio booth. An in-house theater offers digital projection, stadium seating and 7.1 surround sound.
