HD EXPO INTENSIVE TO LOOK AT PANASONIC HPX3000 CAMCORDER

Attendees at the event can get a close-up look at the camera's picture quality and performance, and learn about the benefits of the solid-state workflow for high definition production. They will also have an opportunity to check out Panasonic's newly-announced P2 HD VariCam master-quality camcorders — the VariCam 3700 and VariCam 2700.

With 2/3-inch, 2.2 million 3-CCDs, the HPX3000 captures cinema-quality images in full-raster 1920 x 1080 resolution with 4:2:2 10-bit sampling, using AVC-Intra compression technology. The solid-state HPX3000 can record up to 200 minutes of 1080 24p footage with five 32GB P2 cards.

The new P2 HD VariCam camcorders represent a synergistic pairing of Panasonic's popular solid-state recording technology and unique VariCam features and capabilities, including master-quality, full resolution 10-bit 4:2:2 AVC-Intra 100 recording, HD-SDI output of 23.98PsF/24PsF, variable frame rates and multi-gamma function including Film-Rec.

HD EXPO Intensive Workshops are offered free to HD Expo attendees who register prior to June 1. After June 1, a fee of $149 will be charged.
