IMMEDIATE MUSIC OPENS NEW HOME IN SANTA MONICA

The new base of operations is located in Santa Monica and can accommodate a growing staff. Immediate Music recently added in-house composers Mark Phillips and John Samuel Hanson, and also named Emily Weber its director of operations.

Phillips spent several years touring the world as a guitarist for Down By Law, The Joykiller, and Cheater. He later studied music composition for television and film at UCLA, as well as completed certification as an audio engineer. He has written music for the TV series The Amazing Race, America's Most Wanted and Ghost Stories, along with dozens of others. Most recently, he contributed to the score of NBC's hit American Gladiators.

Hanson received his Bachelor of Arts in music composition from California State University Fullerton, and then worked at Hans Zimmer's production facility, Media Ventures/Remote Control. There, he used his musical talents to compose for many productions in television and film. He has also been a sound programmer and score assistant on the motion pictures Constantine, Ultraviolet, The Promise, 16 Blocks and Poseidon. Working on behalf of Immediate Music, Hanson provided music for American Gladiators.

Weber was most recently with RipTide Music, where she handled sales, licensing, and A&R for over four years. Earlier in her career, she worked for both ABC, Inc., and Touchstone Television, in the business and legal affairs department. In addition, she has been a freelance music supervisor and composer, and has also worked as a studio musician, as an accomplished bassist and tenor saxophonist.
