INTHEGROOVEMUSIC ARTISTS SHOWING UP IN POPULAR PROGRAMS
MTV shows, including Newport Harbor, The Hills, Punk’d, The Real World (Sydney, Las Vegas, Denver) and Making the Band, regularly feature Inthegroove artists. Most recently, Caitlyn Smith was featured on Newport Harbor, Alyssa Atherton on The Hills, and Glorious Monster on The Real World.
The NFL on CBS uses Inthegroove artists on game days for highlights and interlude music. CBS’s Moonlight has featured Inthegroove artists Mandrew and Dodd, while Lifetime has used cuts from Danny Burke.
“When Brian [Reidinger] and I set our sites on MTV and CBS Sports, we
wanted to be part of the culture,” notes Darren Drew, co-owner of
Inthegroovemusic. “There is a lot of great music that isn’t being eaten
up by the big labels. These young artists are seeing that there is
light at the end of the tunnel and being validated via revenue.”
Additional programs that have used Inthegroove artists’ music include Keeping Up With The Kardashians, America’s Psychic Challenge and Road Rules Viewer’s Revenge.
