MI POST USING RESOLVE FOR DI MASTERING
MI Post – formerly Moving Images - was formed last year as an affiliate
of Greystone & Co., Inc. The facility’s team of colorists includes
Eric Alvarado, Eli Friedman, Micah Kirz, and Dino Regas.
The team looked to the Resolve system first and ultimately was sold on
the solution’s auto conform with ColorTrace feature, which saves hours
of manual copying and list manipulation by automatically updating color
grading sessions to match editorial changes.
Resolve also offers features such as unlimited PowerWindows for
multilayered area isolations, defocus, and auto PowerWindows tracking.
At MI Post, the system is mounted on a DVS storage area network,
powered by SAS RAID-5 drives that can load as many as four 2K streams
simultaneously. Since coming online, the Resolve system has been used
on projects for Bacardi, Cover Girl, Disney, Target, and MTV, as well
as several full-length features.
