MPSE SOUND SHOW TO LOOK AT 'DARK KNIGHT' SOUNDTRACK

Oscar winning supervising sound editor/sound designer Richard King (War of the Worlds, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, Signs) will be on hand to detail his process of creating the film’s soundscape. Excerpts of the movie will be presented with special "pre-dubb" mixes to illustrate the variety of elements used to create an environment of serious sound.

Music editor Alex Gibson (Natural Born Killers, The Prestige, John Adams) and Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End) will participate in the event, revealing how the musical score was shaped to fit the dark narrative of good and evil.

All sound will be played through a system developed by Meyer Sound Laboratories.

The MPSE Sound Show will take place at 8:00pm on Monday, October 27th, and will be held at the Lloyd E. Rigler Theatre in the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. General admission is $10, though
