The new system also includes the Sam data server, which provides open access to the shared media for other applications. And, in addition to the Pablo/Neo systems, Notch has also added Quantel's Max, which enables non-creative tasks such as conforms, playouts and quality control to be performed in the background while billable work continues in the creative environment.
More than 95 percent of Notch's business is transferring and color correcting commercial spots. The investment gives the five-year-old facility the ability to take on any commercial or DI project, and positions the studio to also take on stereo 3D post production projects.
